After the intense excitement of the last few days, and the fabulous photographic opportunities the days brought, one would expect today to be calm and serene. If you thought that, you would be so wrong!Every morning seems to be more glorious than ever, and as the ODP Safari group headed out to the Plains this morning, the beautiful golden mist, with deep golden colours again enveloped them.  Animals appearing out of the mist again created unutterably beautiful photographs.They drove straight into a group of lions sitting in the wet grass, surrounded by the magical mist, and with sparkling dew drops shining all around. Unimaginable photography!!Then as the sun started to rise, two of the subadult lions walked over and perched on top of a mound, with the sun behind them, creating beautiful silhouettes with the now reddish mist still swirling around.While photographing this wonderful scene, the tranquility of the morning was...

As expected, the vehicles with the the expectant ODP Safari group left the Lodge before dawn, and headed out in search of buffalo, lions, or whatever the day would bring.They were greeted by a glorious sunrise with magnificent cloud formations, so cameras started early! Catching up with the buffalo early also meant that beautiful landscapes were captured with the buffalo in the foreground. While the Safari group was watching and photographing the buffalo, numerous Yellow-billed Oxpeckers started to fly in and settled on the buffalo.  There were so many that cameras were quite unsure which way to point next.The Oxpeckers had barely settled when the Cattle Egrets arrived in droves, again creating beautiful images as they flew around, settled on the grass or on the buffalo, and then restlessly moved again and again.After a quick check to see if there were lions in the vicinity, it was time for lunch, followed...
