Hedrus is the founder and owner of Outdoorphoto. The Outdoorphoto website and shop was born in 2004 and really came to life early 2005.Hedrus himself is a keen photographer with a special love for nature and outdoors. The love of photography was kindled as young school chap helping out his then neighbour to develop black and white images. Later on in life and spending many days and all available free time in the African bush, the photography interest was rekindled again.
Hedrus studied and practiced as a Dental technician but, after 18 years working in a small room, with only a radio and few employees as company, he decided to move on. At the age of 40 he decided to at least give it a go at trying something he loves and that being photography. While practicing as Dental technician he started a highly successful photography business doing mainly events, corporate, and studio work. Motor racing and superbike racing was the core business then. That business was sold in 2004 and he then moved fulltime into the photography business by giving birth the current ODP family.
The African bush will remain his first love. He says he is fortunate to share this particular love wife his wife and partner, Norma and his two boys now 16 and 18 who have been joining them on excursions for as long as they can remember.
