At ODPSafaris we aim to present you with the photographic safari of your dreams!
Guided by professional guides and trackers at every safari location, every vehicle also has a professional photographic guide (see ourphotographic hosts at the bottom of the page) to assist with vehicle positioning and photographic assistance if required.
Our vehicles have limited seating so that every person has ample space for themselves and their equipment, and because we limit the persons per vehicle, each person also has better opportunities to photograph and position themselves on the vehicles.
Join a group of fellow photographic enthusiasts today and enjoy a photographic experience that will last a lifetime!

What is an ODPSafari?
ODP Safaris are not 'game drives' for tourists in wildlife preserves!
The safaris organized by Outdoorphoto are Photographic Safaris, set up and designed by professional wildlife photographers with specific photo opportunities and goals in mind. Our primary concern is that you not only have a great time with likeminded individuals and fellow photographers, but also walk away from the experience not only as a better photographer, but with some amazing photography.
Our aim on the Safari is to get to photo opportunities, and although many of the safari locations also provide for nature walks with very knowledgable guides that can show and teach about the natural fauna and flora of the region, we strive to send you home with the shots David Attenborough always talks about!
So it's a Wildlife Photography Course?
Actually no.
Every vehicle has a host photographer that also guides the guides once the trackers have found the animals we are looking for. They make sure the vehicles are positioned for the best photographic positions and available lighting (as far as possible) and also shoot their own images.
More importantly though, they are skilled professional photographers that are there to make your trip worthwhile, so if you have any questions regarding a certain shooting condition you are facing, they are there to help out, guide, and suggest options to you, should you need it.
Because they are actual working professionals in the field of nature, avian and wildlife photography, they are also very well versed in the technical side of post processing and handling your image files after the shoot (especially Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop) So more often than not, you will find them available between sessions to show you some tips and tricks in those software packages.
But who are the Photographic Hosts?
These are the Professional photographers you might meet on your trip:
Wim van den Heever Well published professional Wildlife stock photographer and runner up overall of the 2010 Nikon Africa Photographic Awards
